Globaler Statusbericht der WHO zur Verkehrssicherheit 2023
Der globale Statusbericht zur Verkehrssicherheit 2023 beschreibt detailliert das Ausmaß der weltweiten Verkehrstoten und die Fortschritte bei der Weiterentwicklung von Gesetzen, Strategien und Maßnahmen zu deren Reduzierung weltweit.
Der fünfte Bericht in einer Reihe bietet einen Überblick über die Fortschritte zwischen 2010 und 2021 und legt einen Grundwert für das Aktionsjahrzehnt der Vereinten Nationen für Verkehrssicherheit 2021–2030 fest, bei dem es darum geht, die Zahl der Verkehrstoten und -verletzten bis 2030 zu halbieren.
Der Bericht zeigt, dass die Zahl der Verkehrstoten pro Jahr leicht auf 1,19 Millionen gesunken ist und die Bemühungen zur Verbesserung der Verkehrssicherheit Wirkung zeigen. Doch der Preis für Mobilität ist nach wie vor viel zu hoch und es besteht dringender Handlungsbedarf, um das Ziel, die Zahl der Verkehrstoten und -verletzten bis 2030 zu halbieren, zu erreichen.

WHO Global status report on road safety 2023

The Global status report on road safety 2023 details the scale of global road traffic deaths, and progress in advancing laws, strategies and actions to reduce them around the world.

The fifth report in a series, it provides an overview of progress between 2010 and 2021, and sets a baseline for the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030 target of halving road traffic deaths and injuries by 2030.

The report shows that the number of road traffic deaths has fallen slightly to 1.19 million per year, and that efforts to improve road safety are having an impact. Yet the price paid for mobility remains far too high, and urgent action is needed if the goal of halving road traffic deaths and injuries by 2030 is to be achieved.
